SCOTT SEIGAL PRESENTS
BROADWAY ORIGINALS
An amazing array of theater stars will be assembled by producer/writer/host Scott Siegel with the express purpose of singing the songs that they performed in their original Broadway productions. Decade upon decade of Broadway history will be on glorious display on the Feinstein’s/54 Below stage on May 20, when a galaxy of stars from a the 20th and 21st centuries return to sing the songs that made (and make) the Great White Way great.
In this historic, nightclub benefit concert event, the history of Broadway will be re-lived when the actors from the original casts of more than a dozen different musicals once again sing the songs that thrilled audiences when they were first performed on the New York stage. There will be more Tony nominees and Tony winners performing at Feinstein’s/54 Below on May 20 than any other place but the actual Tony Awards! And oh the nostalgia! As the announcer for the Lone Ranger might say, “Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear” and hear not only the great songs of Broadway, but hear them sung by the actors and actresses who made them famous in the first place.
Scott Siegel created/wrote/hosted Broadway Originals for The Town Hall where it was that legendary institution’s gala annual concert for half-a-dozen years. Now, for the first time, Mr. Siegel is bringing this much-beloved and famous concert series from a theater that seats 1,500 people to the intimate surroundings of Feinstein’s/54 Below. The opportunity to witness the glory of Broadway, up close and personal, has never been more reachable.

VOICES FOR THE VOICELESS
Fundraiser - Benefit performance
with Broadway For Orlando
On September 12, 2016, stars from both Broadway and Hollywood will join hands at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the name of adoption at the 2nd annual Voices for the Voiceless: Stars for Foster Kids concert. Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley present, highlighting the deep struggle of older children in foster care to find adoptive families. In the United States, most children between the ages of 13 and 21 remain “unadoptable” by most potential parents due to their age.
Voices for the Voiceless aims to amend this plight.
Rudetsky and Wesley, the husband team behind this philanthropic event, are no strangers to adoption; they are raising their beloved daughter, Juli, a child of adoption.
In Wesley’s words, “Our inaugural event last year was welcomed with such excitement and support that we couldn’t wait to partner with You Gotta Believe again this year. All of these amazing stars are completely donating their time and talents to support these kids. It’s going to be an inspiring night full of love and hope!” Adds Rudetsky, “This is my favorite combination: Broadway, amazing stars and helping the world!
The star-studded benefit includes the following Broadway and Hollywood names: Rosie Perez, Gloria Gaynor, Megan Hilty, Chita Rivera, Sherri Saum, Rachel Crow, Marc Shaiman, Janice Huff, Caroline Rhea, Alec Mapa, Alice Ripley, BD Wong, Charles Busch, Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Orfeh, Adrienne Warren, Anika Larsen, Keala Settle, Richard Kind, Tony Yazbeck, Roz Ryan, Michelle Collins, Lisa Mordente, Liz Larsen, Josh Colley, Lilla Crawford, Christine Pedi, Janet Metz, Olga Merediz and Carole Demas.
Tickets are now on sale, ranging from $47 to $199. All proceeds go to You Gotta Believe, the only New York-based adoption nonprofit agency focused on matching kids over the age of 13 in foster care with a forever family. For more information about the event’s mission,

Broadway Comes Back to Barbados
A number of corporate lead sponsors have come together to bring back the stage performance "Broadway to Barbados". Between 2001 and 2007, this show performed to sold-out audiences at the Frank Collymore Hall in Barbados. The Return in 2013, again sold out every night for 2 weeks.
Mr. Jacob Hassid, Diamonds International's Managing Director, gave special thanks to his friends and fellow sponsors of the initiative and explains that Eldorado Gold Barbados (an overseas gold mining company based in Vancouver) has already purchased the critical piece of equipment for the QEH.
The show returns to that venue from February 17 to 21 as well as the 24 to 28th, with a cast of professional Broadway performers from New York. The curtain goes up at 8 each night.

This initiative has been undertaken in support of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). It is specifically intended to provide up-to-date sophisticated diagnostic equipment for the anticipated new Medical Intensive Care Unit, which is became operational at the beginning of 2013.
Surplus proceeds from the Broadway Show will go towards the purchase of additional new equipment. A cash reserve will also be maintained to facilitate any future repairs necessary to the newly acquired equipment.

Special thanks to all strategic partners:
St. Peter's Bay, Archer's Hall Design Centre, Eldorado Gold, Scotiabank, GKSpringhead, Digicel, United Insurance and LOVE 104.1 FM. The Barbados Business Community is being encouraged to fully supporting this initiative through their support of the Broadway Show.
The intention is to make Broadway to Barbados an annual, allowing for a continuing effort to support the critical equipment needs of the QEH.

The 80′s and 90′s were an amazing two decades for the piano bar scene in New York City. When Rob Hoskins and Erv Raible purchased the Duplex on Grove Street in the late ’70s, they created a very special place that fostered an amazing team of talent, becoming a second home for those who worked there. As the piano bar scene and business grew, they added Brandy’s (1980) and Don’t Tell Mama (1982) to the circuit, which expanded and helped to revitalize a genre that was waning in the years following the Disco rage, when mirror balls ruled the night.
The Five Oaks, Arthur’s Tavern and Marie’s Crisis, along with the original Duplex at 55 Grove Street, made that block a destination for all who were seeking live piano bar entertainment. With the opening of Waverly Waverly in 1981 and 88’s in 1988, the scene expanded. When The Duplex moved to Christopher Street in the early 90′s, the original space on Grove Street stayed a piano bar with the opening of Rose’s Turn. Broadway Baby expanded the scene to the Upper West Side, much as Brandy’s did on the Upper East Side and Judys* in Midtown. The piano bar family grew and thrived during that time, with people moving from one piano bar to another during the course of an evening, visiting with friends and catching great nights of entertainment and camaraderie. Many of the performances that would take place on these nights became classics that the crowd would clamor for.
On Tuesday August 11th at 7pm, the doors will open at The Iridium NYC to recapture those halcyon nights and to celebrate the people who made it so memorable.
The evening is being done as a benefit for Pal-O-Mine www.pal-o-mine.org, which runs a horse farm in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, that works to help people with autism.

The Ziegfeld Society's raison d'être could be described as special, unique, fantastical, show-stopping,
and extraordinary; AND on top of all that, it is centered on honoring the “Golden Age of Broadway,” a
time when Florenz Ziegfeld was at the height of his career as a show business impresario. The Society
also includes other musical revues of the era set in motion by Ziegfeld's large-scale spectacles that took place from 1907 through roughly 1960, such as the George White Scandals, the Earl Carroll Vanities, the Music Box Revues, the Shuberts’ The Passing Show, and others.
Since The Ziegfeld Society's first Charter Meeting on March 1, 2009, our mission to preserve Musical Theatre History though Education and Performance has been achieved by way of meetings held the last Saturday of each month from September through June and outreach performances throughout New York City.
Each monthly meeting includes live performances on a variety of topics including Stars of the Broadway stage, material from stage productions, movies, and
special presentations of the early part of the 20th century drawn from The World of Florenz Ziegfeld and featuring a variety of performers of all ages from the Broadway stage, the cabaret world, TV, and film.
In true Ziegfeldian style, performances are accompanied by no shortage of feathers, glitz, sparkles, classic show business ambiance, and true Broadway-style entertainment.

Steve Ross
"The undisputed monarch of Manhattan cabaret."
The Huffington Post
Steve Ross on Broadway - songs he's always wanted to sing and songs you've always wanted to hear. Steve has compiled a wide-ranging program selected from early Broadway....the Gershwins (Fascinating Rhythm, Lady Be Good) through Dietz and Schwartz (Shine ON Your Shoes), Jerome Kern (All the Things You Are) Bob Merrill (Love Makes the World Go 'Round), Kander & Ebb (Nowadays) Kurt Weill (One Life To Live) Cole Porter (Nobody's Chasing Me) to Stephen Sondheim (Buddy's Blues).
Steve has been a fixture of the cabaret community in Manhattan for over forty years. He was born "forty-five minutes from Broadway" in New Rochelle, and was raised in Washington, DC with an opera-loving father and a mother who played on the piano the songs of Gershwin, Porter and Irving Berlin. His first major job in New York was as a successful singer/pianist at the now famous piano bar Ted Hook's Backstage. In 1981 he re-opened the legendary Oak Room at Manhattan's famed Hotel Algonquin where he held forth off and on for three decades. He has appeared on Broadway in Noel Coward's Present Laughter, starring Frank Langella and off-Broadway in his tribute to Fred Astaire entitled I Won't Dance. Internationally, he has performed in London, Paris, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne and Sydney as well as cabarets and theatres across America and on the high seas. He's hosted programs on the BBC and American public radio and was on the lecture/performance roster at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for eight years. He has been a sought after teacher at such temples of learning as the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Sydney and the Royal Academy in London His last show at the Oak Room, a version of I Won't Dance prompted Stephen Holden of the New York Times to describe Steve as "the personification of the bygone dream world that his music summons."

This year we will be raising money for two amazing families.
The first is for the family of Lisa Connors. Lisa passed away on October 8, 2014 of MDS, a disease that affect the bone marrow and blood. About 19,000 people are diagnosed with MDS in the United States each year. Although MDS can affect people of any age, the majority are older than 60 years. The money raised at our benefit will help Lisa’s family get through this rough time.
The second family we are raising money for is for the Fleming family. Kara Jean Fleming is currently suffering from Huntington's Disease, a hereditary degenerative brain disorder that slowly is robbing Kara of the ability to walk, talk, think and reason. Once thought of as a rare disorder, Huntington's Disease is now recognized as one of the more common hereditary diseases.
The money raised at our benefit will help Kara with medical bills and will help to support her family through this difficult time.

Musical Director Ian Herman
Carole Demas and Paula Janis have been pals since they met at the age of 14 in 1954, so they’re celebrating the 60th anniversary of their real-life friendship. In 1972, 18 years after their first meeting, The Magic Garden was born. The highly-acclaimed show won accolades and tons of fans during its 12 years on the air as the two combined their talents for performing and educating. They brought stories, songs, games, valuable lessons and even more valuable laughter to a wide audience and achieved ratings that equaled or surpassed those of Sesame Street and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Like those shows, the program’s quirky style made it entertaining for adults as well as children.
